SMALL AUTOMATION
Small Automation Systems for Manufacturing
Brosna Automation builds small automation for one clearly defined manufacturing task. The usual pieces are sensors, pneumatic actuators and simple controls, for manufacturers in Westmeath, the Irish Midlands and across Ireland.
Sensors, pneumatics and sequencing
Presence sensors and process checks can confirm that a part is in place. Pneumatic actuators can then move, clamp or present it. Simple machine sequencing ties those steps together for one repetitive process, with basic operator controls.
Semi-automatic equipment
Some tasks should stay semi-automatic, with the operator still loading or deciding. A small production machine is scoped around that station. The aim is a practical process improvement: fewer repeated manual steps on that task, not a plant-wide system.
Existing equipment, guarding and limits
The automation has to work with the equipment already on the line. Guarding or interlocks are included only where the agreed scope calls for them. I agree the deliverables, risk assessment and CE responsibilities with you in writing for each project. Safety-rated systems or larger integration work need a separately agreed scope; statutory duties still apply.
Where the task is a nest or a clamp rather than a sequence, start with custom assembly fixtures. Where the open question is the motion itself, start with prototype mechanisms.
